SK Telecom's CEO emphasizes rebuilding customer trust following a cyberattack.
Jung Jai-hun, the CEO of SK Telecom, highlighted the company's ongoing commitment to restoring customer trust after a recent cyberattack. In a recent column, he drew parallels between the recovery of trust and the success of the national fencing team at the Asian Games, emphasizing that both are the result of persistent effort.
Jung noted that SK Telecom has made significant strides in customer satisfaction, ranking first in major surveys such as the Korea Customer Satisfaction Index. He acknowledged that the trust lost due to the hacking incident last year was regained through dedicated efforts over the past year.
To address customer concerns, SK Telecom has implemented various strategies, including expanding direct contact with customers across 87 cities and meeting over 35,000 individuals face-to-face. This initiative allowed the company to gather feedback and improve services, focusing on network quality and security enhancements.
Furthermore, SK Telecom has upgraded its AI-based security measures and simplified its service offerings, making it easier for customers to navigate benefits. Jung emphasized that the company views its high rankings in customer satisfaction as a call to maintain and elevate service standards, rather than an endpoint in their recovery journey.
