Kia Corp. is projected to meet its annual sales target for the first time in 12 years, according to recent industry data.
As of the end of October, the South Korean automaker reported aggregate sales of 2,769,954 vehicles, marking a 5.1% increase from the same period last year. Domestic sales rose by 7.4%, while international sales increased by 4.5%.
This sales figure represents 82.7% of Kia's 2026 target of 3.35 million vehicles. If the current monthly sales average of over 291,000 continues, Kia will successfully meet its target.
Kia's recent success is attributed to the launch of new models that cater to regional powertrain preferences, including the Tasman pickup truck and the electric Kia EV4 and EV5.
In the U.S., sales of Kia's hybrid electric vehicles surged by 118% year-on-year, contributing to a significant market share increase. Kia aims to maintain this momentum with upcoming model releases, including a revamped K5 sedan and new versions of the Carnival and Sorrento.
