Hyundai Mobis has announced a significant increase in its operating income for the third quarter of 2026.
Hyundai Mobis, a leading South Korean auto parts manufacturer, reported a remarkable 17.15% increase in its operating income for the third quarter of 2026. The company's operating income rose to KRW 914.127 billion, compared to KRW 780.299 billion in the same period last year.
Despite the positive operating income, the net income attributable to shareholders saw a decline of 35.67%, dropping to KRW 597.879 billion from KRW 929.449 billion a year earlier. This decline has raised some concerns among investors regarding the overall profitability of the company.
Sales for Hyundai Mobis also experienced growth, increasing by 4.60% to KRW 15.723 trillion from KRW 15.032 trillion in Q3 2025. This growth in sales reflects the company's resilience in a competitive automotive market.
However, on the Korea Stock Exchange, Hyundai Mobis shares saw a decline of nearly 4%, closing at KRW 339,500. Analysts suggest that the drop may be attributed to the disappointing net income figures despite the positive operating income report.
