KBS 2TV’s upcoming historical drama 'Sword & Silence' has revealed its cast portraying key figures from the Tang dynasty.
Directed by Kim Yeong Jo, known for 'Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth', the series delves into the story of Silla, a small kingdom that faced the might of Goguryeo, Baekje, and the Tang dynasty in its quest for unification.
Yang Hyun Min takes on the role of Li Shimin, the ambitious Tang emperor whose ruthless tactics shape the narrative. Alongside him, Choi Ye Bin portrays Wu Zetian, a woman of remarkable political acumen who rises to power after Li Shimin's demise.
Other notable characters include Park Kang Sub as Li Zhi, who supports Wu Zetian's ambitions, and Lee Ji Hoon as Xue Rengui, a general who earns trust through valor in battle.
'Sword & Silence' is set to premiere on November 14 at 9:20 p.m. KST, promising an engaging exploration of power struggles and historical conflicts.
