Yoo Hae Jin, Park Hae Il and Lee Min Ho Chase the Truth in New 'The Assassin(s)' Teaser

A new teaser for the upcoming Korean thriller "The Assassin(s)" has arrived, giving audiences their clearest look yet at a story built around a fictional shooting that rattles the nation. The clip follows three men from very different corners of society as they converge on the same unanswered question: who was really behind the attack, and why.

The teaser opens with police superintendent Cheol Gu, played by Yoo Hae Jin, and rookie reporter Young Il, played by Lee Min Ho, witnessing the shooting as it happens. At the same moment, veteran newspaper editor Jae Hwan, portrayed by Park Hae Il, gets word of the incident by phone and immediately begins working his own sources. From there, the film cuts between the trio's parallel investigations, each man pulling on a different thread of the conspiracy.

Yoo Hae Jin's character faces pressure from colleagues who urge him to drop the case, but he refuses, insisting that catching the culprit is simply his job. Park Hae Il's newspaper editor is equally unwavering, telling his police counterpart that the truth is what matters most to a journalist. His resolve is tested when he is confronted by an intelligence agent named Sang Pil, played by Park Hoon, yet he stands firm, saying he has an obligation to inform the public. Meanwhile, Lee Min Ho's rookie reporter throws himself into the chase, chasing leads and grilling anyone he can, convinced that whoever is hiding something is likely connected to the crime.

The teaser builds tension by intercutting these investigative threads with brief glimpses of the shooter preparing for the attack, hinting at a larger, coordinated effort behind the scenes. In several charged confrontations, the three leads are shown demanding to know who gave the order, underscoring the film's central mystery about power, secrecy and complicity.

"The Assassin(s)" brings together three of Korean cinema and television's most recognizable faces. Yoo Hae Jin recently drew large audiences with the hit film "Exhuma," while Lee Min Ho remains one of Korea's most internationally popular stars thanks to dramas like "The Legend of the Blue Sea." Their pairing with Park Hae Il, known for his roles in acclaimed dramas and films, has generated strong early buzz for the project.

The film is scheduled to premiere in South Korean theaters on September 23, with the newly released teaser expected to further stoke anticipation ahead of its release.
