South Korea's economy is showing signs of solid recovery, driven by strong exports.
The South Korean economy is demonstrating robust recovery, primarily fueled by a significant increase in exports, according to the finance ministry's latest report.
In September, exports soared 83.5% year-on-year, reaching a record $120.9 billion, largely due to a surge in semiconductor shipments, which exceeded $60 billion for the first time.
The report highlights that domestic consumption is also improving, while facility investment rose by 6.3% in the second quarter. Private spending saw a 2.4% increase compared to the previous year.
Despite these positive indicators, the ministry cautioned about ongoing uncertainties related to the Middle East conflict and inflation, which continue to pose challenges for the economy.
