South Korea is planning to send a public-private delegation to Kazakhstan aimed at strengthening cooperation in the water industry. This initiative reflects South Korea's commitment to fostering international partnerships.
The delegation will include officials from the foreign and energy ministries, alongside representatives from nine Korean water companies and relevant state-run entities. Their visit, scheduled for three days, will focus on discussions with key Kazakh water management agencies regarding technological cooperation.
During their stay, the delegation will tour water and wastewater treatment facilities and evaluate ongoing pilot projects to identify new business opportunities. The two nations previously signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to advance smart water management technologies.
A spokesperson from the South Korean foreign ministry stated, "We will continue expanding water industry cooperation with Kazakhstan by aligning its water management needs with advanced technologies from Korean companies." This visit marks a significant step in enhancing bilateral relations in the water sector.
