South Korea and Bosnia and Herzegovina have formalized an economic cooperation agreement.
On November 6, 2026, South Korea and Bosnia and Herzegovina officially enacted an economic cooperation agreement aimed at enhancing bilateral trade and investment opportunities. This agreement provides a framework for collaboration in various sectors, including tourism and agriculture.
The agreement was signed in Sarajevo in March and became effective after both nations completed their domestic procedures. The South Korean foreign ministry expressed optimism that this agreement will strengthen economic ties and support South Korean companies looking to enter the Balkan market.
In 2025, bilateral trade reached approximately $41.59 million, with South Korea primarily exporting steel and electronic equipment while importing lead ore and clothing. The implementation of this agreement marks the 102nd economic cooperation agreement in force for South Korea, as the government continues to expand its economic diplomacy efforts.
