SK Telecom has unveiled the 'K-Treasure Road' project to enhance cultural tourism.

SK Telecom has launched the 'K-Treasure Road' cultural tourism project in collaboration with three institutions, including the National Museum of Korea. This initiative aims to attract tourists to Korean cultural sites and promote regional travel.

The project centers around T Factory Seongsu, SK Telecom's cultural experience complex in Seoul. It is designed as part of a public-private partnership to prepare for the upcoming '2027–2029 Korea Visit Year'. The initiative will feature exhibitions and hands-on experiences related to Korean cultural relics, encouraging visitors to explore regional museums and attractions.

In addition to the National Museum of Korea, the Korea Visit Year Committee and the National Museum of Korea Cultural Foundation are also involved. Each institution will play a specific role, from content collaboration to project planning and promotion.

SK Telecom plans to launch dedicated hands-on programs to make cultural relics more accessible and appealing to visitors. The company aims to leverage the popularity of Seongsu among younger generations and foreign tourists by linking museum experiences with travel opportunities.

The first collaborative program is set to begin in November, with a gradual expansion through 2027. The partners are also working on creating a cultural tourism route that connects T Factory Seongsu with the National Museum of Korea and other regional sites, enhancing local tourism and supporting small businesses.
