North Korea has voiced support for China's stance on Taiwan while criticizing the U.S. for regional instability.
North Korea has recently expressed its backing for China's 'One China' policy regarding Taiwan. In a statement published by the Korean Central News Agency, analyst Kim Myong-chol accused the United States of exacerbating tensions in the region by supporting Taiwan's independence.
Kim's article, titled 'U.S. Is Acting Rashly,' highlights the U.S. military's actions, such as the recent delivery of fighter jets to Taiwan. He described these actions as provocations that undermine regional stability and warned that the U.S. should reconsider its confrontational stance against China.
The North Korean regime emphasized that the Taiwan issue is a domestic matter for China and asserted that external forces have no right to interfere. Kim stated that the U.S. has contributed significantly to the militarization of Taiwan, with arms sales exceeding $39 billion over the past decade.
This statement reflects the growing alignment between North Korea and China, especially following high-level summits in recent years. Both countries have pledged to enhance their strategic partnership, indicating a united front against U.S. influence in the region.
