MONSTA X member Shownu has been diagnosed with a herniated disc, prompting him to sit out upcoming scheduled activities.
On November 5, STARSHIP Entertainment announced that Shownu had visited the hospital due to persistent back pain. Following a thorough medical examination, he received the diagnosis.
As a result of his condition, Shownu will not participate in the group's fan event in Beijing or the 2026 Korea Grand Music Awards. The agency reassured fans that other members, including Hyungwon, will still attend the awards, although the group will not perform.
STARSHIP Entertainment stated, "We apologize for any concern this may cause and will ensure Shownu gets the rest he needs for a full recovery." They will provide updates regarding his participation in future activities based on his health progress.
