Krafton has unveiled a new AI designed to improve how robots understand and interact with humans.
Krafton, the renowned gaming company behind PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, has made significant strides in the field of robotics by developing a socially intelligent AI. This innovation aims to enhance the interaction between robots and humans, showcasing Krafton's commitment to advancing technology in gaming and entertainment.
The AI, named Ludi 0.2, was introduced at the 2026 Bay Area Robotics Symposium and is designed to interpret human intent, respond to feedback, and adapt to changing environments. This development builds upon Krafton's extensive experience in creating interactive virtual worlds where player behavior is unpredictable and dynamic.
Krafton's subsidiary, Ludo Robotics, focuses on creating AI for robots that can communicate and collaborate effectively with people. The new system enhances social intelligence, memory, reasoning, tool coordination, gesture interpretation, and physical movement, aiming for more natural human-robot interactions.
CEO CH Kim emphasized the importance of this technology, stating, "Through Ludo Robotics, we're exploring how AI can better understand people and interact with them naturally in the physical world." As robots become more capable, understanding human behavior remains a critical challenge, and Krafton's advancements in AI are a step towards overcoming this hurdle.
