HD Hyundai Marine Solution (HMS) has announced plans to acquire Goltens, a leader in maintenance and repair services. This strategic move aims to bolster HMS's position in the aftermarket maintenance market, leveraging Goltens' extensive expertise.
The acquisition, valued at approximately $247 million, is expected to be finalized by early 2027. Goltens, known for its global network and independent repair capabilities, will continue to operate autonomously after the deal.
Both companies anticipate significant synergies that will enhance service delivery to customers, particularly those operating HD Hyundai's fleet of vessels and engines. Goltens' established presence in 15 countries will complement HMS's existing operations.
This acquisition reflects HD Hyundai's commitment to expanding its global service coverage and investing in advanced technologies. The partnership is expected to address the growing complexities of maintenance and operational efficiency in the marine and industrial sectors.
