On October 19, 2026, HD Hyundai and Anduril conducted a successful demonstration of unmanned surface vessel (USV) operations at the Port of Long Beach, California.
The event featured approximately 40 representatives from South Korea and the United States, including Jang Kwang-pil from HD Hyundai. The demonstration highlighted the integrated capabilities of the VAone ship platform and Anduril's Lattice mission software.
During the three-and-a-half-hour event, the companies showcased various maritime scenarios, including autonomous navigation and emergency responses. The vessel used was a modified 368-ton USV previously operated by the US Navy, equipped with advanced autonomy solutions.
The demonstration confirmed the vessel's ability to perform complex missions autonomously, paving the way for future USV programs and expansion into the global market.
