Han Ji Min's agency, BH Entertainment, has confirmed that the woman recently sentenced for threatening the actress is the same individual who previously stalked JANNABI's Choi Jung Hoon, Han Ji Min's boyfriend.
On October 17, the agency released a statement clarifying the connection between the two cases. The woman, identified as 'A', was charged with posting 19 malicious comments about Han Ji Min on social media from September to October 2024.
The Seoul Central District Court imposed a fine of 6 million won (approximately $4,495) on 'A' for her actions, which included criminal intimidation and defamation. This incident has raised significant concerns regarding the safety of public figures in the entertainment industry.
Previously, 'A' had been sentenced for stalking Choi Jung Hoon, involving behaviors such as visiting his agency and leaving threatening comments on his blog. In that case, she was fined 5 million won (approximately $3,746) and ordered to undergo treatment for stalking, with the ruling finalized in March.
The revelation of this connection has sparked discussions about the ongoing issues of celebrity safety and the impact of stalking in the entertainment world. Han Ji Min and Choi Jung Hoon publicly confirmed their relationship in August 2024.
