The broadcast of Ha Young's new drama has been postponed due to family controversies.
The highly anticipated drama 'The Long Shot Trial', starring Ha Young, has had its broadcast schedule delayed. This decision comes in light of controversies surrounding Ha Young's family history, particularly her great-grandfather's pro-Japanese activities during the colonial period.
On October 19, a representative from SBS confirmed that the broadcast, originally set for the first half of next year, has been postponed. They stated, "We are carefully considering various options, but nothing has been decided yet regarding a specific broadcast timeframe."
'The Long Shot Trial' is a lighthearted legal comedy that follows a group of misfit lawyers led by Kwon Baek, played by Lee Je Hoon. Ha Young portrays Yeo Shim Hee, a rookie lawyer who is determined to succeed despite lacking financial backing and connections.
The controversy surrounding Ha Young escalated in August when her great-grandfather's past was revealed, prompting her to issue a handwritten apology. Following this, she stepped down from her role in the Netflix series 'The Trauma Code: Heroes On Call'.
Despite completing filming for 'The Long Shot Trial', the impact of personal issues on public projects has led to this significant delay, reflecting the complex relationship between personal history and the entertainment industry.
